The stable branch moved in April and the configuration required no changes, which is worth writing down as often as the opposite.
what was checked, in half an hour:
deprecated directives none in use
the ssl_protocols list still current
HTTP/3 support present, not enabled,
and still marked
experimental
http2 directive the old
`listen ... http2` form
is deprecated in favour
of `http2 on;` — one
line changed
total change: one line.
The http2 on directive is the only real difference and the old form still works with a warning, which is how a deprecation should feel. Writing down that an upgrade was uneventful is what makes the next person’s risk assessment honest — an absence of notes reads as an absence of attention rather than as an absence of problems.
